Building a Cleaner Future, One Home at a Time

Our Mission

We empower homeowners to join the net-zero movement through education, local partnerships, and incentives. Our Decarbonization Roadmap improves home efficiency, increasing comfort and reducing fossil fuel emissions which helps homeowners save on ongoing energy costs. Every neighbor moves us closer to a clean energy future.

How it works

Through our trusted local partners you have access to:

Our Team

Laina Gray

Laina has spent more than eight years in the residential energy industry helping homeowners upgrade their homes with energy-efficient technologies. Through that work, she saw how confusing the process can be—and how many homeowners don’t realize programs like Mass Save exist, what options are available to them, or how those upgrades fit into the broader roadmap for home decarbonization. She co-founded this community to serve as an educational resource where homeowners can understand available incentives, find a trusted contractor, and choose products that deliver long-term performance.

Co-Founder

Ella Degrandpre

Through Ella’s early career working in the sustainability sector, two things became clear to her: (1) many people care about the environment but lack the bandwidth to take action while managing the demands of everyday life, and (2) most people are unaware that decarbonization can save them money while improving home comfort. With this in mind, Ella co-founded Neighbors for Net-Zero. By helping community members understand the benefits of home electrification and connecting them with trusted resources, she aims to eliminate the financial and mental burden of taking steps toward a cleaner future.

Decarbonization Consultant

Ben Grossman

Ben has spent much of his career in education, helping people make sense of complex ideas. Now, he brings that same approach to residential decarbonization. He has seen how confusing the process can be for many residents, so he works hard to help homeowners understand HVAC upgrades, electrification options, and Mass Save incentives. Through Neighbors for Net-Zero, Ben educates neighbors on their options, helps them develop a roadmap for their homes, and empowers them to reduce both their emissions and their energy costs.

Decarbonization Consultant

Ricardo Gomez

Growing up in a tight knit community in the Greater Boston area, Ricardo Gomez recognized the importance of the common phrase “love your neighbor”. First-hand, he has seen MA residents struggle to pay high heating bills, suffer in the increasingly hot summers, and become frustrated that there is no clear route to change. Ricardo has worked in the electrification sector since his early career and saw an opportunity to help. As a NFNZ decarbonization consultant, he works with homeowners to make clean energy solutions more accessible while helping families lower their long-term energy costs.
